Kunsten har faet nye gamle rammer i Fredensborg. I foraret 2006 flytter kunstudstillingerne fra Villa Bournonville i Slotsgade til det ncerliggende Tinghus, pa adressen Tinghusvej 13, Fredensborg. Det gamle Ting- og Arrest Hus, er ved sin fornemme solitcere placering i parklignende omgivelser for enden af Tinghusvej, en vcerdig aftager af kunsternes skiftende . Arkitekt N.S. Nebelong gav det store bygningsvolumen et udtryk af historicisme, i blanke n21de sten, med streng symmetri i opbygningen - ("justitsministeriel balancearkitektur") - er bygningskroppens form et klassisk udtryk for tidsanden. Tinghuset i Fredensborg er et meget velbevaret eksempel pa et 1800-tals byggeri for o retsvcesenet med savel den d0mmende som ud0vende magt, reprcesenteret ved domstol politistation og fcengsel, under samme tag. Iscer er fcengselsafdelingen bemcerkelsesvcerdigt velbevaret med sin originale indretning fra bygningens opf0relse i 1857. Fcengslet, der har staet ubrugt siden 1919, bortset fra et halvt ars tid i 1945, taler i Danmark kun sarnmenilgning med Arrestmuseet i FBaborg. Cellerne fremsdk med deres originale og simple murfaste inventar: bilceggerovne, brikse, indmOreae borde og stoleplader intakte og udg0r et stykke unikt kulturhistorie. I stu(2etagen er en celle bevaret uden moderne belysning som decideret museums celle, ligesom et senere tilkommet toilet og bad i en anden celle, er vidnesbyrd om en anden tids mindre fordringer. Nebelong gave this building with its great volume , an expression of historicism with strong symmetry and construction=( ministry of justice and architectural balance) - are the body of the buildings form , a classical expression of its time, , Tinghus in Fredensborg is a very well preserved example of 1800s Building style for the justice department ,the judicial as the actual power represented by the court, police station and prison under the same roof, specially the jail department is extremely well preserved with its original furnishings from its original construction in 1857/ The prison which has remained unused since 1919, except for the half years use in 1945 , can only be compared to the arrest museum in Faborg, The cells remain as they were with the original inventory, fastened to the walls are the original cots .tables .chairs etc, all in tact and preserved , also the old toilet and bath in another cell is a witness to another time.
